The following is an exciting update to the commercialization program. We encourage you to use the opportunity for your undergraduate and/or graduate students. This is also a unique way to include partners in the project by working with students.
** NEW** CREWS Partner Internship Opportunity: Workforce Development Summer 2022
Do you know of a government agency, NGO, or private business that has (or may have) potential ties to the CREWS project?
Would that agency/NGO/business have an opportunity for a workforce development intern?
CREWS is funding workforce development internships with very flexible timing for Summer 2022.
Initial internship ideas due by April 11, 2022
Process to Pursue a Workforce Development Internship
- Please reach out to your agency, NGO, and business partners regarding this opportunity
- Identify/scope a project/internship of approximately 150 hours that offers clear learning outcomes for a student
- Timing can be full-time (40 hours/week) for 4 weeks; half-time for 8 weeks; or something equivalent
- CREWS will pay the $4000 stipend ( ½ up front and ½ upon completion)
Please email the following information by April 11 for summer 2022 workforce developnt internship opportunities to info@mtnsfepscor.org
- Name of the private/NGO/agency partner for the workforce development internship and a brief description of the nature of the internship, including the problem/project, and key outcomes/deliverables.
- Clear articulation of who will supervise the intern to ensure a meaningful, substantive learning opportunity that achieves relevant skills and knowledge consistent with the spirit of workforce development.
- The proposed timing for the internship (anticipated start date; commitment of student hours to the internship).
- What the outcome/deliverable is anticipated to be. NOTE: interns will present a brief overview at the next All Hands meeting.

Next steps: The management team will evaluate the proposed idea and, when approved, you may then proceed to announce it/make it available to identify prospective students.
Open to either existing CREWS partners or new partners with an opportunity relevant for water-related projects, broadly defined.
Open to any students recruited specifically for this workforce development internship opportunity.
