It was a pleasure to present our Sensing for Science poster at the NSF EPSCoR national conference in Columbia, South Carolina!
This was a great chance to share what we are doing with others from around the country. The poster was authored by myself, Suzi Taylor of the MSU Science Math Resource Center, and Jessie Herbert-Meny of UM spectrUM Discovery Area. We also had the chance to highlight our partnerships with the Montana Afterschool Alliance and the American Computer and Robotics Museum.
We outlined four ways in which we are reaching the public:
- Mobile science activities that bring "making" and water quality activities to rural communities
- Partnership with the Montana Afterschool Alliance to train educators and bring activities to youth
- Exhibit at the American Computer and Robotics Museum featuring sensor technologies and pioneers
- Sensing for Science lecture series
