Joe Fanguy, director of Technology transfer at the University of Montana (UM), is heading up EPSCoR’s workforce development efforts at UM as director of the Montana Technology Enterprise Center (MonTEC), a business incubator in Missoula. MonTEC provides space, services, and support for startup businesses in Montana, with long term goals of growing and diversifying Montana?s economic base.

Montana University System leaders announced today that Seth Bodnar has accepted the offer to be the next president of the University of Montana. “E” in EPSCoR changed from experimental to established
The American Innovation and Competitiveness Act (AICA) (S. 3084) signed Jan 7, 2017 changed the “E” in EPSCoR. (Sec. 103) The bill renames the Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research as the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) and revises program requirements.
